Tracker Certifications

There are three types of tracking certificates: 1) Track and Sign, 2) Trailing, and 3) Tracker. The Track and Sign certificate is a measure of ones ability to identify and interpret tracks, scat, and any other sign in the field. The Trailing certificate is a measure of ones ability to follow and find animals. The Tracker certificate is awarded to those with both a Track and Sign and Trailing certificate and the level is equivalent to the lower of their other certificates.

Tracker certificates are issued when a participant has achieved certificates in both Track and Sign Interpretation and Trailing. The Tracker level is based on the lowest score in either evaluation. For example:

Senior Tracker
The Senior Tracker certificate is the highest certificate that can be earned by means of a practical evaluation, and is issued once a participant has achieved 100% (Specialist) in both Track and Sign Interpretation and Trailing.
