Tracking Avifauna: Pieces, Patterns & Processes
with Dan Gardoqui

Tuesday, June 30 at 5 pm Pacific (8 pm Eastern)

Becoming a competent tracker of anything requires thinking at multiple scales about the species you’re hoping to better understand. This presentation will focus more on macro themes (e.g. avian ecology, migration & evolution) than it will on micro topics (e.g. foot morphology, species specific feeding behavior).

Bio: Dan Gardoqui has been teaching humans of all ages about the more-than-human-world since the late 1900’s. While it took him nearly 20 years to earn his Track & Sign Professional certification, he usually does most things quite efficiently. He serves at the Education & Outreach Director at the Center for Wildlife in Cape Neddick, Maine where he manages a team of 20+ species of birds, mammals, herptiles and hominids.
