Last Fall, North America got its most recent Track and Sign Specialist. Big congrats to So Sinopulos-Lloyd on a phenomenal accomplishment in the Pacific Northwest! So has been a dedicated tracker and naturalist for years and their dedication to this art and science has truly shined. This was a rigorous eval along with some challenging weather (not to mention waning light with daylight savings ending in northern reaches of the country, leading to a wrap up at late dusk) and they very skillfully made their way through this experience. Their accomplishment is very well-deserved. So is co-founder of Queer Nature (www.queernature.org), a Washington-based organization dedicated to creating spaces for Queer folks and allies to come and gather and connect to place and learn from one another. Along with their partner, they run numerous education programs, and wildlife tracking is one of their core areas of curriculum. They have been a strong advocate of wildlife tracking as central their work in bringing this to many others, and particularly to LGBTQIA+ communities. Check out the good work they are doing! Congratulations, So!
