Tracker Tuesdays
In January 2022 we introduced our online “Tracker Tuesday” series, featuring hour-long presentations and conversations from the Tracker Certification community.
Please support us with a donation if you’d like to see this free series continue! Contributions are tax-deductible and support Tracker Certification’s mission to preserve, recover and advance field skills and ecological knowledge.
Upcoming Events:
Bird Nesting Behavior with Casey McFarland
Rescheduled to May 13, 2025 at 5 pm Pacific Time
Join us for a conversation about how bird nests reveal the relationships between birds and their environments—both locally and across hemispheres—and how they perceive landscapes and other animals. Observing birds, especially during breeding season, facilitates slower movement in the woods, teaches us about wildlife behavior, and provides insight into hunting and trailing skill. Tuning our eyes to see nests is similar to seeing subtle tracks, and a diligent practice to notice them keeps our eyes up and looking for hidden sign.
Special Recording Release:
For March 2023, we didn’t have a live event but wanted to re-release a favorite presentation from the 2021 North American Wildlife Tracker Conference:
Tracker, Biologist, Scientist: Which are you and which do you want to be? with Mark Elbroch
